Te Pou Toetoe Linwood Pool is Christchurch City Council's indoor aquatic centre on Smith Street, built to give the Linwood and Woolston community a year-round place to swim. There's a six-lane 25 metre lap pool, a warm teach pool, a toddlers' pool with a wet play deck and water toys, a family spa, and New Zealand's first purpose-built all-season indoor manu pool for kids and teens keen to try their best bomb or staple.

Little ones can splash about on the wet deck while older kids test themselves in the manu pool (five and up, with a swim test required for the deep end). Swimsmart lessons run for everyone from babies through to adults during school terms, with holiday programme options too, and there's a weekend inflatable obstacle course for confident young swimmers. Parking and bike stands sit right by the entrance, change rooms are modern and easy to get around with a pram, and Wednesday afternoons and evenings are reserved for women and girls only.

Being fully indoors, it's a solid rainy-day option, and reviewers rate it as clean, well laid out and not usually too crowded on weekdays. It's not huge, so don't expect a big waterpark feel, but it covers babies through to teens well and the staff get good reports for being helpful.
