Fillin' Holes is an outdoor, construction-themed mini-golf course on Tuam Street in Christchurch Central, right by the new stadium. It's built around the city's earthquake rebuild, with holes styled on the trades, a putt through a cardboard cathedral and a crane you get to swing. There are now eighteen holes after the course grew from an original nine, and the theming has enough odd details and side jokes to keep older kids and adults amused, not just little ones.

Rounds are quick to jump into, with walk-ins welcome and no need to book ahead, though it's worth booking on busy weekends and school holidays. There's on-site parking for a handful of cars plus street parking nearby, and the crew often bring in food carts on weekends. Being all outdoors, it's a fine-weather outing rather than a rainy-day fallback, and dogs are welcome to tag along too.
