Ferrymead Golf is a golf and mini-golf complex on Ferrymead Park Drive, right next to the Heritage Park. Kids can play a round of mini putt on either the indoor monster and zombie themed course or the outdoor "Still Rock" volcano course, and there's a full driving range and a par-3 nine-hole course if the grown-ups want a proper hit as well.

It suits a wide range of ages, from little ones having their first go at putting to teens keen on the driving range or the paintball field next door. The indoor course is handy on a wet day, though it can feel a bit tight when it's busy, so the outdoor volcano course is the better pick if the weather's kind.

There's a licensed cafe and bar on site doing pizzas, burgers and cabinet food, so you can easily turn it into a couple of hours out rather than a quick stop. Good for a birthday outing or a rainy Christchurch afternoon.
