Southbridge Playcentre on High Street is a parent-run early learning centre for kids aged 0 to 5, with morning sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Because it's a cooperative, mums, dads and grandparents stay for the session instead of dropping off, taking turns to set up play like sandpits, art, dress-ups and building.
It suits families keen to be hands-on and meet other locals rather than just watching from the sidelines. Siblings attend together, so older kids naturally look out for the little ones, and there's support for new parents and newborns too. Kids over three can get free ECE hours here.
