Dudley Park Aquatic Centre in Rangiora is the district's main indoor pool, with an 8-lane 25 metre lap pool, a 19.5 metre learners pool and a spa. The leisure pool has beach entry into a toddler area, plus a deeper section with spray features and a bubble pit, so there's plenty for littlies as well as older kids.
It's home to the WaiSwim learn-to-swim programme, school lessons, aquarobics and masters swimming, so session times can get busy. Under-fives need an adult in the water with them, and 5 to 7 year olds must be actively supervised. Changing rooms include a disability toilet and change area with a hoist, and late mornings through to mid-afternoon on weekdays tend to be quieter than after-school and weekend sessions.
