In Vanuatu, sand drawing (Sandroing) is not just art—it is a rich, ancient form of communication, storytelling, and record-keeping recognized by UNESCO. Traditional masters draw continuous, intricate geometric patterns directly into the sand or ash with a single finger.

This workshop introduces children to this beautiful storytelling tradition. Using a mess-contained Glue-and-Sand method, they will create a vibrant, textured masterpiece to take home/exhibit, or practice fluid, traditional storytelling using a modern lightbox.
